A three-part series every founder should read

GitHub

Just discovered this three-part series of posts written by Zach Holman (an engineer at GitHub) – old posts but still relevant in startup cultures today.

  • Hours are bullshit “You can’t throw more time at a problem and expect it to get solved. Code is a creative endeavour  You need to be in the right mindset to create high-quality code.”
  • Be Asynchronous “Meetings are fucking toxic. They pull you from doing actual work in order to talk about doing work”
  • Creativity is important “We want to foster a creative environment. We love it when employees hack on side projects. It gets people excited. Excitement is contagious, and spreads easily from one project to another.”
